The Atwood Music
Festival Committee is pleased to announce the headline
entertainment for Atwood 2017. We have worked with Neste Event Marketing
to lock down some great entertainment for this year.
Headlining this year's festival is country newcomer, William Michael Morgan, (I Met a Girl) www.williammichaelmorgan.com on Friday, May 26, 2017. The tall, easy-going, unfailingly polite 22-year-old from Vicksburg, Mississippi, has the look you'd hope for in a young entertainer and the stature to wear a black cowboy hat, a symbol that stands for something in the country music world. And he's certainly got the chops as an award-winning young performer, who earned recording and publishing deals before turning 20. Read more about William Michael Morgan
Saturday's lineup contains legendary country group, Little Texas followed by an after party show fearturing new country artist, Drake White and The Big Fire (Livin' the Dream) www.drakewhite.com on May 27, 2017.
As part of the Young Country movement of the early '90s, Little Texas were responsible for shaking up the country music world with a new, energetic sound that fused the look and attitude of modern rock music with traditional country themes and styles, bringing a much appreciated bolt of life into the genre. For their efforts, country fans the world over richly rewarded the band, buying up over 7 million of their albums, while critics showered them with 3 Grammy nominations plus honors from both the Academy of Country Music (Vocal Group Of The Year) and the Country Music Association (Album Of The Year). Drake White is a respected live entertainer with his (appropriately named) band the Big Fire, White's climb to the limelight hasn't been a straight or uncomplicated one. Rather than blowing up right away with a big debut single, he's toiled on the road for years, giving jaw-dropping performances night after night and making believers one show at a time.
